Friday All-Day Guided Trip To Ride The New Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) Train Which Operates Between San Rafael & Santa RosaThis trip will depart Sacramento on Amtrak Capitol Corridor Train #531 at 8:45am. We will travel to Richmond; be transfered to San Rafael; ride the SMART train northbound to the end station at Sonoma Country Airport station; return on SMART to Santa Rosa for lunch; reboard SMART for the return trip to San Rafael; be transfered back to Richmond to board Amtrak Capitol Corridor Train #538, arriving back into Sacramento at 6:24pm. This trip is $90.00 per person and includes all transportation for the day. Lunch in Santa Rosa will be on an indiducal basis (numerous restaurants and cafe are within walking distance of the Santa Rosa station). Capacity is limited for this trip! |

Friday Afternoon (Exact Times To Be Determined) - Tour of the Siemens Mobility USA Manufacturing Plant In SacramentoSiemens is currently building single level cars for use in the Midwest & California & long-distance locomotives for Amtrak. The tour will start at the Sheraton Grand; transporation will be provided to/from the Siemens Plant. It is expected that the plant tour will be approximately 90 minutes in length. This tour is $20.00 per person and includes transportation to/from the Siemens Plant. |

Friday Afternoon (Exact Times To Be Determined) - Guided Tour of the Sacramento Regional Transit Light-Rail SystemKnown as SacRT, the system operates 43 miles of light rail, on 3 lines serving 52 stations. Weekday light rail ridership averages about 40,000. This tour will be lead by a knowledgable local transit advocate and will start at the Sheraton Grand. It is expected that the formal portion of the tour will be approximately 3 hours in length. Participants will be able to continue exploring the system on their own as desired following the tour. This tour is $15.00 per person and includes one Adult SacRT Day Pass. |

Friday & Sunday - Individual Opportunity To Visit The World-Famous California State Railroad MuseumThe Museum is open daily from 10:00am to 5:00pm. Admission is $12.00 per person paid at the door. Advance registration is not required to visit the Museum. |

Sunday Afternoon - Guided Wine Tour To ClarksburgWe will leave the Sheraton Grand at 2:00pm for the ~35-minute drive south from Sacramento to the beautiful community of Clarksburg and the Bogle Vineyards. The tour will include a wine tasting by the Bogle staff and an opportunity to tour their grounds. After Bogle we will stop at the Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg; a renovated sugar beet factory, which now houses tasting rooms for 15 local wineries. We will return to the Sheraton Grand by ~5:30pm This tour is $25.00 per person and includes the transportation & the Bogle Vineyard tasting. All tastings at the Old Sugar Mill will be on an individual pay basis. Space is limited! |

SOLD OUT!Monday All-Day Trip To Tour California High Speed Rail Construction Projects In The Central ValleyThis tour will include visiting three active CHSRA project sites in Madera and Fresno. Tour will depart the Sheraton Grand at 7:30am and return at ~5:00pm. A lunch stop will be scheduled in Fresno following the site tours. This tour is $65.00 per person and includes round-trip motor coach bus transportation. Lunch in Fresno will be on own. This tour is limited to 25 participants! (This Iimit is imposed by the CHSRA for safety reasons). |
